When it is time for a replacement
The three O-rings are the parts most likely to give way first — once they harden, the mouthpiece sits loose and vapour production falls off. The fine screens also hold back small particles and clog correspondingly faster; the coarse screen is the alternative for more coarsely ground material and lets more air through. The filling tool helps you fill the chamber evenly and without spilling.
Cleaning and care
Stainless steel and glass tolerate a bath in isopropyl alcohol: leave the parts to soak until the residue dissolves, then rinse with clean water and let them dry completely before refitting them. Silicone parts are better cleaned with warm water and a little washing-up liquid — prolonged alcohol baths make silicone brittle and leaky over time.
