This mouthpiece unit fits the Smono 3. It does not fit other Smono models — their mouthpieces have their own dimensions and seals.
When it is time for a replacement
A mouthpiece is usually due when residue can no longer be cleaned out, when draw resistance noticeably increases, or when the silicone seal has hardened and the mouthpiece no longer sits snugly. A bent or torn screen is another reason — particles then get into the airway. Many owners keep a second unit on hand so the device stays usable while the first one is being cleaned.
Cleaning and care
Stainless steel and glass tolerate a bath in isopropyl alcohol: leave the parts to soak until the residue dissolves, then rinse with clean water and let them dry completely before refitting them. Silicone parts are better cleaned with warm water and a little washing-up liquid — prolonged alcohol baths make silicone brittle and leaky over time.
