The wear parts set for the Smono Basic contains the complete mouthpiece unit made of a glass body and stainless steel insert, plus replacement screens and O-rings — everything that wears out in use or can break.

The parts are matched to the Smono Basic (V2).
When it is time for a replacement
O-rings are usually first in line: they harden, the mouthpiece sits loose or draws false air, vapour production drops. Replace chamber screens once they have clogged and the draw gets harder — you notice that while drawing long before you see it. The complete glass unit lasts a long time if handled carefully, but it is the part least likely to survive a fall.
Cleaning and care
Stainless steel and glass tolerate a bath in isopropyl alcohol: leave the parts to soak until the residue dissolves, then rinse with clean water and let them dry completely before refitting them. Silicone parts are better cleaned with warm water and a little washing-up liquid — prolonged alcohol baths make silicone brittle and leaky over time.
