When it is time for a replacement
The unit is due when residue can no longer be dissolved out of the screen or airflow box, when the seal has hardened, or when the mouthpiece no longer sits snugly. If you vaporize regularly, you do well to keep a second unit ready — the device then stays usable while the first one is soaking.
Cleaning and care
Stainless steel and glass tolerate a bath in isopropyl alcohol: leave the parts to soak until the residue dissolves, then rinse with clean water and let them dry completely before refitting them. Silicone parts are better cleaned with warm water and a little washing-up liquid — prolonged alcohol baths make silicone brittle and leaky over time.
