When it is time for a replacement
Lithium-ion cells lose a little capacity with every charging cycle. When the usual number of sessions per charge drops noticeably, or the device shuts down early at higher temperatures, the cell has reached the end of its life. Always insert the battery the right way round, and do not use a cell with a damaged wrap, dents or leaked fluid. Spent batteries belong in battery collection points, not in household waste — shops provide collection boxes for them.
Cleaning and care
Keep the contacts dry and clean, and store spare cells individually so the poles cannot touch coins or keys.
